I was fortunate enough to write additional music with composer Michael Yezerski for the short film directed by Jennifer Perrot, ‘The Ravens‘.

Award-winning director Jennifer Perrott who grew up in a Defence Force community has written a poignant and tender film about an Aussie soldier struggling to return to family life after war. Told through the eyes of his young daughter, this story looks at the challenges facing returning service personnel coping with trauma and the effects on their families. It has a hopeful and positive ending.

Once completed, THE RAVENS will travel the festival circuit and be used for many years in rehabilitation for soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as a much-needed icebreaker to facilitate discussion. It will also be seen by our young defence population returning from deployment, and also their families. Any profits from the distribution of the film will go to the RSL charity Defencecare.
